What's that coming over the hill?

Is it a monster?!!!
On March 10th everybody at school investigated the mysterious footprints left by (what we thought was) a monster on the playground. Year 5 created a drama piece based around the footprints and then wrote some very creative playscripts. We also went outside to measure the footprints and estimated how tall the monster might be from our measurements. Here are photos of our investigation. What do you think the relationship is between the footprints and the size of the monster?

International afternoon

On the 17th March, Year 5 demonstrated their accordion skills as they became French musicians for All Saint's international afternoon!

Visit from Paul Canoville

In December, Paul Canoville, Chelsea's first black football player, talked to Year 5 and 6 about racism in football. It was a very interesting talk and we learnt a lot about how people's attitudes have changed over the years and how we are now, hopefully, more open minded in sports.

Famous Victorians at Westminster Abbey

On January 20th Year 5 visited Westminster Abbey and learnt about the famous Victorians who are burried there. We also made keepsake cards in the education centre. Do you know whose image is on the front of the card?

Victorian costume day!

On the 14th of February Mrs Palmer gave an interesting talk to Year 5 about her Victorian family who created delicious biscuits. She then let us try on some amazing Victorian clothes. What do you think about our costumes?!
