Theatre-goers ... and critics!

Last month, we were involved in a special project, where we learned what goes on 'behind the scenes' in order to produce a play, and found out about what is needed to put on a series of performances.

We were able to interact with the production team, and to ask the director and the writer lots of questions about the jobs they did, where they got their ideas from and what they enjoyed most about their work. Sydney came back to help us and we used the ThinkQuest platform to share information, as well as our own thoughts about the show 'My Mother Told Me Not To Stare'.

We went to the Unicorn Theatre in Central London to see this play!

Natural History Museum & Hampton Court

Just before the February half-term break, we visited the Natural History Museum, where we saw lots of examples of different types of bones and skeletons.

In the afternoon we had a turn at being proper scientists ourselves, when we were able to examine a wide range of specimens in the 'Investigate' centre.

The week before that, we were lucky enough to be transported back in time to experience what life might have been like in a real Tudor palace. Some of us even got to meet Henry VIII himself!

Lunchbox designers!

Here are some of our ideas from our 'Hot & Cold' topic, where we had to design a lunchbox with different compartments that would help to keep food and drink at the right temperature.
